Mrs. Lewis Maxine Henry 90 Oblong died Tuesday November 7, 2000 at her residence. Maxine was born October 13, 1910 in the Bellair area of Crawford County, Illinois. She was the daughter of George William "Billy" & Nona (Coulter) Freeland. On December 24, 1931 she married Lewis H. Henry who died April 22, 1983. Maxine was a homemaker and a member of the Bellair Church of Christ. She attended Merom College. Her life revolved around her family and the family farm. She sold farm eggs for several years and was known as the EGG LADY to many people.
Maxine is survived by 1 son & daughter-in-law Larry & Phyllis Henry; 5 Grandchildren Pam Henry, Joe Henry, Bill Henry, Jodi Henry and Lewis Lee Henry; 1 Great Granddaughter Kristin Henry; 1 sister Pauline Richter; daughter-in-law Donna Henry; niece Barbara Herlihy; 1 nephew Robert "Bob" Richter. Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, husband and 1 son Lewis Edward Henry.
Burial will be in Oblong cemetery.
