Mary Griswold, 96, of Robinson, IL, died at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2003 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center, Robinson. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Robinson.
She was born August 12, 1907 in Porterville, IL, the daughter of Wilfred and Lillie Myers Evans. She married Ray Griswold in 1941 and he preceded her in death June 8, 1986. Her parents; a daughter, Mary Jane Griswold; a sister, Rachel Lawrence; and 3 brothers, Ellis, Clyde, and Ralph Evans also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wilma and John Deardorff, Terre Haute, IN; her grandchildren, Jodi and Scott Fish, Terre Haute, IN, Ric and Amanda Deardorff, Greenwood, IN; her great grandchildren, Mikaela and Justin Fish, Terre Haute, IN; a sister, Florence Ubaudi, Decatur, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor Robert Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home preceding the service.
