Garnet L. Goss, 67, rural Oblong, (The Bend area), died at 6:30 a.m. Friday, January 26, 2007, at her residence. Born October 17, 1939, in Robinson, she was the daughter of Raleigh Ellis York and Mildred Christine (Littlejohn) York. Garnet was a homemaker. She was a member of the South Bend Christian Church. Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting pillows and dancing.

On September 27, 1969, she married Daniel "Dan" Goss, who survives. Also surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law, Larry E. & Christina Goss, Gary D. & Kathy Goss, Richard D. "Fireball" Goss and Danny & Julie Goss; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa & David Dhom, Sharon & Fred Huddlestun and Christine & David Reynolds; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard & Jo York; one sister and brother-in-law, Shirley & Jim Dennis; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother: Larry York; one infant brother: Jerry York; and infant grandson: Brian Huddlestun.

Burial is in South Bend Cemetery, rural Jasper County.
