Leona E. "Tony" Ford, 90, of Carrier Mills, IL, formerly of Crawford and Lawrence County, IL, died at the Carrier Mills Nursing Home Sunday, November 23, 2003. She was born October 3, 1913 in Paris, IL, the daughter of James Rueben Branson and Della Price Branson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lawrenceville First Baptist Church.

She married Raymond H. Ford on May 15, 1932 in the Flat Rock Baptist Church and he preceded her in death on December 24, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Stephen Wayne Ford; her granddaughter, Marci Ford; 6 brothers, Lonzo, Bruce, Troy, Chester, Carlyle, and Homer Branson; 4 sisters, Madge Mercer, Lena Brown, Mary Parker, and Sarah McCullen.

She is survived by her 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Lota Ford, Marion, Roger and Karen Ford, Lawrenceville; 1 granddaughter, Christy Pea, Vincennes, IN; 2 grandsons, Jeff Ford, Washington, D.C., and Mark Ford, Harrisburg, 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Dane Branson, Fort Meyers, FL and Albert Branson, Fort Meyers, FL; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Flat Rock First Baptist Church. Rev. Norris Price and Rev. Dean West are in charge of services. Burial is in the Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation is from 11:00 Wednesday at the First Baptist Church until service time at 1:00 p.m. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is in charge of arrangements.
