R. Lowell Fielder, died Monday, March 20, 2006, at his daughter's residence in . Lowell was born in Crawford County, Illinois on August 10, 1939 and was the son of Guy W. & Mildred (Baker) Fielder.

On April 17, 1960 Lowell married Erma (Newbold) and she survives. Lowell was a farmer in Crawford County, Illinois until 1986 when they moved to Florida where he was a ranch manager and orange grove caretaker in Fort Meade & Bartow, Florida for 18 years. Lowell was a member of the First Christian Church in and also attended the First Christian Church, Avon Park, Florida and Community Christian Church in Bartow, Florida. He was a Deacon at the First Christian Church in Oblong and also at the Community Christian Church in Bartow, Florida. Lowell was also a member of the American Hereford Association, American Quarter Horse Association and the Florida Cattleman's Association. His hobbies included, horses, cattle, carpentry, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Erma; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alan & Jennifer Fielder and Brian & Linda Gale Fielder; one daughter, Teresa K. Fielder; three grandchildren, Jayce & Alyssa Fielder and Jessica Fielder; one brother and sister-in-law, Dale & Margaret Fielder; one sister and brother-in-law, Darlene & Larry Ferguson; mother-in-law, Margaret Newbold; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Ray & Linda Newbold, Tony & Judy Cork and Joe & Inez Newbold; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; one aunt, Lorraine & Earl Lorance; and two uncles, Duane C. & Jeanie Baker and Donald Tohill.

Lowell is preceded by his parents, step-mother, Pauline Fielder and father-in-law, Paul Newbold.

Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, IL.
