Dorothy G. Dunlap, 86 of Robinson, IL, died at 3:33 p.m. Wednesday, April 07, 2004 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center in Robinson. She was born April 4, 1918 in Crawford County, IL, the daughter of John Kent and Stella Postlewaite Kent. She was a homemaker and loved gardening and sewing.
She married Wilbur L. Dunlap on June 15, 1935 and he preceded her in death on February 10, 1978. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Sam Kent and Jake Kent; her sister, Esther Parker.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harold L. and Tonja Dunlap, rural Robinson; and 7 daughters and sons-in-law, Juanita and Marshall Benton, Robinson, Arlene Matheny, Flat Rock, Betty Agan, Palestine, Mary and Paul Collins, Sr., Flat Rock, Delores "Dee" and Dave French, Newton, Alice Woodward, Palestine, and Judy Plummer, Robinson; 24 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson; her brother, Harold Kent, Robinson; one sister, Louise Preston, Oblong; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 10, 2004 at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock, IL at 3:00 p.m. Rev. John Brand is in charge of services. Burial is in the Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation is from 1:00 p.m. Saturday until service time at 3:00.
