Hubert Cecil Dart, 89, Robinson, IL, died at 5 a.m. Sunday, February 25, 2007 in the Long Term Care Unit of Crawford Memorial Hospital.
He retired from Marathon Oil Company in 1979 after 40 years of service. He served with the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post #69 of Robinson. He was born November 4, 1917 in Oblong, IL the son of Kibbie Hamilton Dart and Artie Michie Smith Dart.
He married Freda J. Swick, February 26, 1938 and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law; Judith and Robert Luckett, Robinson, his son; Steven Dart, Carbondale, IL, 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Patricia Joan Gullett and 4 sisters; Edith Chapman, Josephine Chapman, Garnet Andrews and Marie Young.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 2, 2007 at the Robinson New Cemetery. Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of services. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
