Betty L. Dart, 76 of rural Robinson, IL, died at 1:20 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2004 at her home. She was born May 15, 1927 in Brazil, IN, the daughter of Earl Hawkins and Sarah Ball Hawkins. She was a homemaker, a retired telephone operator, and had cooked in several restaurants in Crawford County.
She married Herb Dart on May 1, 1954 and he survives. She is also survived by her 2 daughters, Connie Chiddix, Robinson and Amy Dart, Marshall; 2 sons Monty Joe Dart and his friend, Becky Mikeworth, Robinson, and Brian and his wife, Becky Dart, Robinson; 7 grandchildren, Tony Chiddix, Ryan Dart, Ethan Dart, Austin Dart, Dylan Dart, Miranda Dart, and Brittnay Mikeworth; 2 sisters, Doris Doersam, Wood River, IL, and Pat Fletcher, Staunton, IN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters, Elizabeth Henry, L'Jeanne Garrard, Nancy Hawkins; and her brother, Earl "Sonny" Hawkins, Jr.
Funeral services are Monday, February, 16th at 1:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Pastor Gene Fox is in charge of services. Burial is in the Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Sunday and until service time on Monday. Memorials may be made to the Robinson Township Library.
