Inez Goodwin Curtis, 87, of Edgewood, NM, formerly of Palestine, IL, died Saturday, July 28, 2007 at the home of her son in Edgewood. She was born December 19, 1919 in rural Palestine, the daughter of Ross and Ethel Goodwin.
She married Joseph Curtis and he preceded her in death in May of 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Velma Dickinson and Hazel Alger; 4 brothers, James, Andrew, George, and Harry Goodwin.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and June Curtis, of Edgewood, NM with whom she had made her home for the past 15 years; her daughter, Dorothy Waters of Montgomery, AL; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Goodwin, Vincennes and Eleanor Goodwin, West Salem; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at the Robinson New Cemetery, Saturday, August 4th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Tom Akers in charge of services. The Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
