Irene Kay Cravens, 62, Willow Hill, Illinois died Friday July 15, 2005 at 9:15 P.M. at St. Anthonys Memorial Hospital, Effingham, Illinois. Irene was born on November 19, 1942 in Steger, Illinois in Cook County and was the daughter of Herbert Kitchen and Vivian (Ragon) Kitchen-Schwager. She had been married to Neal Cravens who now lives in Peru, Indiana. Irene worked in the KIT Department of Victor Dana in Robinson, Illinois since 1978. She was a member of the Hunt City Congregational Christian Church, Hunt City, Illinois, Robinson V.F.W. Auxiliary, Ste. Marie American Legion Auxiliary, Effingham Moose Lodge and International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Lodge 2293, Robinson, Illinois. Irenes hobbies included fishing, bowling and she was an avid NASCAR fan.
Irene is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Tammy & Todd Songer; four grandchildren Zachary & Sara Songer, Tyler Songer, Brianna Songer and Levi Cravens; one brother and sister-in-law Everett Kitchen & his wife Valarie Clark; one sister and brother-in-law Joan & George Midgett; sister-in-law Elaine Kitchen and a special friend Allen Wetherholt.
Her parents, step father Tony Schwager, one son Randy Cravens and one brother Walter Kitchen preceded her in death.
Burial will be in Oblong Cemetery.
