Ruby P. Collins, 92, of Lawrenceville, IL, formerly of Robinson, IL, died at 1:10 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2003 at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital, Lawrenceville. She was born July 24, 1911 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Lewis Dudley and Nettie Tennyson Dudley. She was a sales supervisor at Polsky's in Akron, OH.
She married Clyde C. Collins in 1940 and he preceded her in death on March 23, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Marie Helvie; 4 brothers, Lyle Dudley, Pat Dudley, Robert Dudley and Harold Dudley in infancy.
She is survived by her sister, Vernice Irene Welsh, Robinson; her sister-in-law, Velda Dudley, Fairfield, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2003 with Chaplain Roger Boyd officiating at the Robinson Old Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. Saturday at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson preceding the graveside service.
