Rosemary Chilcote, 80, of Robinson, IL, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2007 at her residence. She was born March 12, 1927 in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Charles Edgar Goff and Viola Brashear Goff.
She was a secretary at W. A. Case Pottery, Wesner and Plater Law Firm, Robinson High School Office, Woodworth Insurance and she retired in 1983 from Crawford Memorial Hospital medical records. She was a member of the Highland Church of Christ and a volunteer for Crawford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Robinson Food Pantry, and Habitat for Humanity.
She married Billy Ray Chilcote September 4, 1948 and he survives. She is also survived by her 2 daughters and her son-in-law, Marcia Sue and Gary Lee Walker, Champaign, IL and Cynthia Ann Baxter, Robinson; her son and daughter-in-law, David Ray and Nancy Chilcote, Robinson; 5 grandchildren and their spouses, Joshua David and Maria Baxter, Estes Park, CO, Jacob William and Crystal Baxter, Hutsonville, Jessie Roseanne and Douglas Smith, Olney, Jennifer Robyn and Matthew McNeilly, Savoy, Alisha Heathscott, Robinson; 5 great grandchildren, Ashton Payton Baxter, Hutsonville, Ella Rae Baxter, Hutsonville, Emily Jo Smith, Olney, Evan Walker McNeilly, Savoy, Garrett Joseph McNeilly, Savoy; and her sister, Nina Fern Ellis, Palestine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Harold Brashear; and her sister, June (Huffman) Hamilton.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson, IL. with Pastor Shane Bopp officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, August 20th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
