Max E. Catt, 65, of Robinson, IL, died Tuesday evening, August 28, 2007 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was born April 3, 1942 in Hardinville, IL, the son of Irvin Catt and Lillie Leeds Catt.

He was an equipment operator in construction. He served in the U. S. Navy in Vietnam.

He married Karen "Kay" Johnson May 22, 1960 and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Joyce Donaldson; 2 brothers, Leo Catt and Rex Catt; 1 sister-in-law, Hazel Leeds; and 1 brother-in-law, Leon Wilson.

He is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Connie Catt, Robinson, Loree and Gregg Cummins, Robinson, Charla and Mike Killin, Tahlequah, OK; his son and daughter-in-law, John and Tammy Catt, Mt. Alto, PA; 9 grandchildren, Kendra Traxler, Robinson, Malorie Goff, Robinson, Michael Cummins and Hunter Cummins, Robinson, Zackary Killin and Halee Killin, Tahlequah, OK, Nicole Goff, Alison Goff, and Tara Goff, Mt. Alto, PA; 4 great grandchildren, Logan Stanfield, Landan Traxler, Christopher Goff and Gage Goff; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Lillian Leeds, Mt. Carmel, Robert and Sherry Catt, Oblong, Leland and Angie Catt, Hardinville; 1 brother-in-law and his wife, Wayne and Joann Donaldson, Robinson; 1 sister, Carol Ann Wilson, N.C.; and 3 sisters-in-law, Phyllis Catt, Robinson, Phyllis Johnson, Robinson, and June Catt.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2007 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Rev. Jack Clay officiating. Burial will be in the Hardinville Cemetery, Hardinville. Military graveside services will be conducted by the combined units of the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549, Robinson American Legion Post # 69, Flat Rock American Legion Post #132, and Palestine Am Vets Post #33.

Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549 Transportation fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
