Kenneth Paul Catt, 62, of Palestine, IL, died at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at his residence. He was born June 8, 1941 in Robinson, IL, the son of Loren Catt and Ruby Simons Catt. He was a pipe fitter in construction and served in the U. S. Navy. He was a member of the Palestine Masonic Lodge #849, Pipefitters Local #157, Robinson Elks Lodge #1188, Palestine Eagles, and past Commander and member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69.

He married Beverly "Kay" Brannon on August 19, 1988 and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Tina Gaines, Vincennes, IN; his son and daughter-in-law, Robin and Debra Catt, Robinson; his step son and step daughter-in-law, Dan and Cherie Tuttle, Dallas, GA; 5 grandchildren, Kale Shelton, Carson Gaines, Ashley, Brandon, and Laura Beth Tuttle; 3 sisters, Rosie Jenkins, Robinson, Nina Stone, Panama City, FL, and Donna Whitsell, Clay, KY; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack and Carolyn Brannon, Palestine, Ronnie and Lana Brannon, Flat Rock; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Wanda and Pete Boffer, Zion, Mary and Gary Stevens, Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents; and 2 brothers, John Howard Catt and Leo Don Catt, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 3, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Rev. John Brand is in charge of services. Burial is in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Thursday and until service time on Friday. Military graveside services will be conducted by the combined units of the Robinson American Legion Post #69, the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549, and the AmVets Post #33. Masonic services will be conducted by the Palestine Masonic Lodge #849 at 8:00 p.m. Thursday following visitation. Memorials may be made to the Lincolnland Hospice, % Sarah Bush Regional Hospital, Mattoon, IL with envelopes available at the funeral home.
