Harold B. Allen, 77, died Monday January 17, 2005 at the Long Term Care Unit of Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, Illinois. Harold was born on June 3, 1927 in Annapolis, Missouri and was the son of Perry & Eva (Brewer) Allen. On July 3, 1943 Harold married Norma (Taylor), the mother of the children. He later married Carol (Bruner) on April 30, 1996. Harold was a local businessman for 50 years - Owner of Allen's Furniture and Allen's Carpet Cleaning in . He was a member of the Oblong First Baptist Church and the Oblong Masonic Lodge #644 AF & AM.
Harold is survived by his wife Carol Allen; three sons and daughter-in-law Ronnie & Glenda Allen, Bart Allen and Todd Allen; two daughters and son-in-law Connie & Steve Ames and Judy Johnson; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law Eula Strange and Viola & Bob Bramble; several nieces and nephews; a special cousin Norvel Brewer.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers Howard, Edgar, Everett & Otis; and one sister Beulah Burks.
