Cornelia "Nelly" Brigolia Akins, 50, Oblong died Friday February 9, 2001 at Indiana University Medical School in Indianapolis, Indiana following a heart attack. Nelly was born July 15, 1950 in Sogod, Philippines the daughter of Agustin & Felisisima (Brigoli) Arnado.
On June 12, 1993 she married Bradley Akins at Dogwood Church rural Oblong, IL.
She was a homemaker and member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Oblong.
She is survived be her husband Bradley, Parents Agustin & Felisisima Arnado of the Philippines, 2 Step Sons Brady & Tony Akins; 1 Step Daughter Johnna Bautista; 3 Step Grandchildren Cody & Shaelyn Bautista and Isabella Akins; 6 Brothers Deogracias, Anesio, Jose, Antonietto, Eusibio and Edwin Arnado all of the Philippines; Cousin Charlotta Wilson.
Nelly is preceded in death by 1 infant sister Teresita and 1 brother Eleuterio at age 38 in August 2000.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery Ste. Marie, Illinois
