Forrest Lyman Adams, 97 of Palestine, IL, died at 4:35 a.m. Sunday, October 30, 2005 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. He was born June 21, 1908 in rural Palestine, the son of Lester Adams and Lillie Phillippe Adams. He served as a minister in the Pilgrim Holiness Church and the Wesleyan Church in Illinois and Indiana for over 55 years. He was a member of the Robinson Wesleyan Church.

He married Thelma Coulter on December 30, 1928 and she preceded him in death on February 8, 1988. He was also preceded by his parents; 2 brothers, J. C. "Carlton" Adams and Gerald Adams; 2 sisters, Lillian Adams and Pauline Reinbold; and his step great grandson.

He married Vera Lilly Doyle on April 28, 1990, and she survives. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Delane and Roberta Adams, rural Robinson; 2 grandchildren, Paul Delane Adams, Omaha, NE and Rebecca Mae Adams, Des Moines, Iowa; a great grandchild; his step-son and step daughter-in-law, Floyd and Virginia Doyle, Winter Garden, FL; 2 step daughters and their husbands, Mary and Kenneth Hill, Robinson; Roberta and Delane Adams, rural Robinson; 4 step grandchildren; and several step great grandchildren; his sister Opal Bertine Mahan, Anaheim, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are Thursday, November 3, 2005 at 2:30 p.m. at the Wesleyan Church, Robinson, IL. Pastor Dan Szombathy and Pastor Leonard Waller, Jr. are in charge of services. Burial is in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, November 2nd at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Robinson Wesleyan Church with envelopes at the funeral home.
