Rich and Emma Etta Conover Rich. He was a retired Flat Rock area farmer and a member of the Crawford County Farm Bureau.

He married Margaret Hoke on August 5, 1933 and she preceded him in death on December 15, 2000. He was also preceded by his parents, his great granddaughter, Jennifer Rich; 6 brothers, Willard Douglas, Elbert, Homer, Lester, Floyd, and Lloyd Rich; 5 sisters, Pearl Legg, Clara Emmons, Flossie Batman, Olive Rush, and Roberta Rich.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, R. Vaughn and Shirley Rich, Flat Rock; his granddaughter and her husband, Karen and Robin McCarter, Lafayette, IN; 2 grandsons and, Robert Vaughn and his wife, Kim Rich, Cloverdale, IN, Mark Douglas Rich, Robinson; 4 great grand children; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be cremation with a private family service at a later date. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is in charge of the arrangements.

William F. Rich Dies Suddenly Of A Heart Attack

William Francis Rich, aged 56 years, well known resident of this area for the past 12 years, died suddenly this morning at his home, 727 South Washington Street, from a heart attack. He had not been in good health for about a year, but had been working daily. He succumbed shortly after assisting Mrs. Rich with some housework.
Mr. Rich, who was a contractor, a former employee of the Board of Education and member of the El Dorado Police Department, was born on June 30, 1889, at Robinson, Ill. He lived in that area for many years and then went to Texas, where he spent a short time. He came to El Dorado in 1924. Mr. Rich was married on December 19, 1909 to Sarah Ina Reynolds at Robinson, Ill. He was a member of Baptist Church and Woodmen Lodge.
Mr. Rich is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Charles Grisham, of El Dorado; Mrs. W.M. Schawo, of Towanda; and Mrs. Alan D. Kelley, of Tulsa, Okla; a son, Ivan Rich, of Towanda; four sisters, Mrs. Howard Weger, Mrs. Harry Weger, Mrs. William Midgett and Mrs. Earl Butcher, all of Robinson; and two brothers, Orville and Chester, both of Robinson.
Funeral services will be announced by the Byrd Funeral Home.
