Leggitt Cemetery is abandoned. Location - Lamotte Township; NW 1/4, NW 1/4, SECT. 32, T7N. Compiled 1970 And 1971 by Wilma Roesler and Imogene Bailey. Rechecked by Carolyn Ellis 1981. "Directions - Go North .045 miles from middle of State Route 33, then you will have to walk .005 to .010 miles (26 to 53 feet) east on top of a small hill. There has been a decorative fence and steel iron gate around this cemetery at one time. Only two grave markers were found."

Note: There is a J. F. Leggitt, Co. D, 38th Indiana Infantry listed in State Veterans Cemetery. Books as being buried in the Palestine Cemetery, but a matching headstone was not found in the surveys of that cemetery.
