     Cass County Historical and Genealogical Society is a non-profit, tax exempt organization that was founded on February 20, 1963. Our goal is to preserve and make available, by publications and other means, the rich and interesting history of the people and places in Cass County, not only those who passed through to other communities. Today our goal remains the same.

     As a society, dedicated to preserving the heritage of our county, we have made every effort to keep membership and publications costs to a minimum. Our society publishes a quarterly newsletter called "The Historian" in September, December, March, and June. Queries are free to members and limited to 50 words per issue.



Cass County Courthouse Copy Fees
The courthouse charges the following fees whether you request them personally or we request them for you:

Certified Death Certificate - $19.00, additional copy - $9.00

Certified Marriage Certificate - $15.00, additional copy - $5.00

Copy from Society Records Birth, Marriage, Death record - $5.00 each

Marriage License before 1916 - $5.00, after 1916 - $15.00

Death Certificates before 1916 - $7.00, after 1917 - $17.00

Births before 1916 - $5.00 and after 1916 - $15.00




Cass County Genealogical and Historical Society Cemetery Headstone Copy Fees

Cass County Historical and Genalogical Society will provide copies of headstones via Email for a $2.00 charge if the photo is on file
at the office. The charge for a printed copy on photo paper is $3.00 per copy plus postage.
