   Robert B. "Bob" Woodrum, 57, of Ashland, IL passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL with his family at his side.
  He was born October 6, 1955 in Springfield, the son of S.D. "Woody" and Barbara Pyle Woodrum. He married Patricia A. "Pat" Duling in August of 1980 and she preceded him in death in April of 2002.
  He is survived by a daughter, Jessica Woodrum (companion, Travis Brummett) of Louisville, KY; a sister, Pam Schlicht (husband, Kim) of Pleasant Plains; a brother, Steve Woodrum (wife, LuAnne) of Jacksonville; a brother-in-law, Brian Duling (wife, Dee) of Phoenix, AZ; 3 nieces; 2 nephews; 2 loving beagles; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, James "Woody" Woodrum.
  Mr. Woodrum was a 1973 graduate of Pleasant Plains High School and he retired in 2012 following 25 years with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping and playing golf.
  Cremation rites have been accorded. Private committal services will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Marjorie L. Wooldridge - 1927-2003 - Ashland
   Marjorie L. Wooldridge, 76, of Ashland, died Monday evening, July 14, 2003, at her residence.
   She was born April 11, 1927, in Beardstown, the daughter of Carl B. and Lula Dunham Ring. She married Carl Henry Wooldridge in August of 1947 in Springfield, and he preceded in death on May 27, 1992.
   She is survived by a daughter, Judy (husband, Junior) Guffey of Ashland; two grandchildren, Christina Guffey-Joy (husband, Andy) of Springfield and Jeffrey Guffey of Parkville, Mo.; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl F. Ring and Harold Ring, both of Ashland; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jess Ring.
   Mrs. Wooldridge was a homemaker and a long-time member of the Ashland Church of Christ.
   Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Ashland Cemetery in Ashland. Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the Ashland Church of Christ in Ashland. Mary Patricia "Patsy" Wooldridge, August 28, 1935-October 8, 2014
   Mary Patricia “Patsy” Wooldridge, 79, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at her residence.
   She was born August 28, 1935, in Pleasant Plains, the daughter of Giles and Alice Cantrall Holmes. She married Billie “Barlow” Wooldridge on Sept. 3, 1960, in Ashland, and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1992.
   She is survived by seven children, Mike (Debi) Wooldridge of Greenview, Dennis (Jean) Davidson of Rockford, Tom (Connie) Holmes of New Berlin, Lois Spicer of Ashland, Kim (Bill) Merriman of Virginia, Della Wooldridge of Virginia, and Bill (Deana) Wooldridge of Ashland; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Wanda(Bob) Cox of Virginia, and Emma Lee Catrano of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Bonnie Kay Wooldridge and Karen Sue Babbs (surviving husband, Bobby of Greenview); a grandson, Lane Babbs; and two sisters, Helen Ring and JoAnn Richmond.
   Throughout the years, Patsy had been employed by Capitol Records, Allen’s Market, and McCausland’s IGA. She was a loving mom, Grammy, sister, and friend to many.
   A graveside service will be held 10:30am Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014, at Ashland City Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia. Memorial gifts are suggested to Cass County Food Pantry. Carl Earl Workman, 1917-2007, Chandlerville
   Carl Ear Workman, 89, of Chandlerville, died early Monday morning, Feb. 26, 2007, at Walker Nursing Home in Virginia.
   He was born Dec. 13, 1917, in Chandlerville, the son of Ernest and Maude Geuder Workman. He married Wanda Sandidge on March 31, 1951, at the Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville, and she preceded him in death March 1, 2003.
   He is survived by two sisters, Frieda Davidsmeyer of Eldon, Mo., and Edna (husband, Floyd) Anderson of Jacksonville. He was preceded in death by five brothers, two in infancy and Harold, Herbert and Donald; and one sister, Lula.
   Mr. Workman was a graduate of Chandlerville High School. He served in the U.S. Army (Tank Division) during World War II. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Virginia, where he served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. He kept busy in his woodworking shop making furniture and small items and also sharpening saws. He was a farmer all of his life.
   Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville, with burial at Chandlerville Cemetery. Wanda S. Workman, 1918-2003, Chandlerville
   Wanda Alvera Sandidge Workman, 84, of Chandlerville, died Saturday evening, March 1, 2003, at Heritage Manor South in Beardstown.
   She was born April 2, 1918, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of John T. and Delta Sisson Sandidge. She married Carl Workman March 31, 1951 at the Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville, and he survives.
   She is also survived by two nephews, David (wife, Linda) Sandidge of Chandlerville and John (wife, Ann) Kennedy of Monmouth; and two nieces, Elaine (husband, Larry) Bolt of Springfield and Barbara (husband, Ed) Johnson of Virginia. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul (surviving wife, Eleanor of Chandlerville) Sandidge and Ralph Kennedy; and one sister, Fay Taylor.
   Mrs. Workman was a retired hair stylist and farm wife. She began playing the piano at 12 years old and has served as an organist and pianist for her church many years in addition to providing music at numerous weddings and funerals. She was a charter member of the Faith Baptist Church in Virginia and has served many years as a Sunday school teacher. She was a 1937 graduate of Chandlerville High School. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lintner-Buchanan Funeral Home in Chandlerville, with burial at Chandlerville Cemetery.    William "Will" Workman, 38, of Concord, IL died Saturday, October 16, 2010 in rural Cass County, IL as a result of injuries sustained in a truck accident.
   He was born July 12, 1972 in Jacksonville, IL; the son of Bobbie "Bob" and Etta Louise Michaels Workman. He married Melanie D. Decker on November 1, 2006 in Jamaica and she survives
   He is also survived by two children, Riddick and Ameara Workman, both of Concord; his mother of Jacksonville; four brothers, Robert Workman of Springfield, MI, Everett Workman (wife, Juanita) of Virginia, Gary Workman (companion, Jeannie Crain) of Forsythe, MO, and Michael Workman (companion, Virginia Bird) of Federal Way, WA; four sisters, Patricia Mulch (husband, Randy) of Corona, CA, Darlene Lyons of Woodson, Diane McIntosh (husband, Kevin) of Peoria, and Susan Lyons of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
   Mr. Workman attended Virginia Schools and served with the US Navy. He was employed as a pipeline laborer and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
   Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, October 21, 2010 at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia. The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 4:00 PM Thursday until the time of services. Private family committal services will be held at a later date.    Bertha May Wubker, 75, of Beardstown died Saturday, June 4, 2011, at her home. She was born September 28, 1935 in Rushville, IN, the daughter of Frank and Mary Rose Farley. She married John Edward Wubker on March 19, 1954 in Rushville, IN and he preceded her in death November 19, 2008. Surviving are four children: John Franklin (wife Shelley) Wubker of Beardstown, Shelia (husband Gary) McElfresh of Quincy, Stephan Edward (wife Lou Ann) Wubker of Beardstown, and Melinda Kay (husband Michael) Varley of Bath; five grandchildren Lucas McElfresh of Valparaiso, IN, Kristin (husband Mark) Cook, Anna Wubker, and Abby Wubker all of Beardstown, and Michael Varley of Bath; two great grandchildren Kyndel Painter and Owen Cook both of Beardstown; two brothers Bob and Bill Farley both of Rushville, IN; and two sisters Ada Farley of Rushville, IN and Emmaline James of Connersville, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her grandson Matthew McElfresh on May 21, 2009, two brothers, and one sister. Bertha was a devoted member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Beardstown and assisted the Pastor at Bible Study at Heritage Manor South. She was formerly employed as a Certified Nurses Assistant at Myers Nursing Home and then St. Luke's Healthcare Center both in Beardstown. She enjoyed flower gardening and she genuinely cherished and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Beardstown. Burial will be in Beardstown City Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 5 until 7 PM Tuesday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown. Memorials have been suggested to "Matthew McElfresh Scholarship Fund."

Ricky Lee Wubker, 1947-2008
   Ricky Lee Wubker, 61, of Frederick, died Wednesday morning, Jan. 30, 2008, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
   He was born Jan. 4, 1947, in Beardstown, the son of Edward B. and Virginia Thompson Wubker.
   He is survived by his mother of Frederick; four sisters, Carole (husband, Richard) Dawson and Dianne Estes, both of Beardstown, Suzanne Canada of Ripley and Sandi (husband, Butch) Tritsch of Frederick; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
   Mr. Wubker graduated from Beardstown High School in 1965 and then entered the U.S. Army where he served in Vietnam in the 4th Infantry. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Beardstown, Rushville American Legion and Guthrie-Pierce VFW Post 1239 in Beardstown. He was previously employed by Oscar Mayer and Pat's Market in Beardstown, the City of Beardstown and Arthur Ring and Sons in Rushville.
   Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Beardstown, with burial at St. John's Lutheran Church in Beardstown. Lela Wulf, 78, of Philadelphia, IL died Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Walker Nursing Home in Virginia, IL.
   She was born January 31, 1936 in Springfield, the daughter of Uel and Hester Stiles Hendricks. She married John O. Wulf Sr. on November 8, 1969 in Virginia and he preceded her in death on October 25, 2003.
   She is survived by a daughter, Linda Sutton (husband, Nathan Dean) of Virginia; four sons, Bert Harris (wife, Missy) of Philadelphia, and Jeff Harris (wife, Amanda), Ott Wulf (companion, Brenna), and J.O. Wulf Jr., all of Virginia; eight grandchildren, Mary Ann Harris of Chandlerville, Joe Harris, Tom Wallis, and Scott Harris, all of Virginia, AshLeigh Wulf, HaiLeigh Wulf, and WhitLeigh Wulf, all of Beardstown, and Autumn Harris of Philadelphia; and six great grandchildren, Annika, Drakken, David, Ryder, James, and MakynLeigh. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother in infancy.
   Mrs. Wulf was a graduate of Springfield Feitshans High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for several area grain elevators and nursing homes. She retired from Coady Supply Company in Springfield. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Lela enjoyed crocheting, playing cards with friends, baking candy and cookies, and listening to country music. She enjoyed attending family gatherings and their frequent fish frys.
   Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia with burial at Ashland Cemetery in Ashland.    Tony L. Wzientek, 66, of Virginia, IL died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at his residence.
   He was born August 17, 1945 in Centralia, IL, the son of Leon and Lucille Wyrostek Wzientek. He married Kathleen Sinclair on August 15, 1995 in Las Vegas, NV and she survives.
   He is also survived by his mother, Lucille Ferguson of Centralia; a step son, David Miller of Virginia; two step grandchildren, Clayton Jay Miller and Alexis N. Miller, both of Petersburg; two siblings, Stanley Wzientek (wife, Janice) and Doloris Prunty, all of Centralia; three sisters-in-law, Bonnie Herrin (husband, Steve) of Carroll, IA, Coni Cox (husband, Dale) of Virginia, and Mary Ann Brockhouse (husband, Ron) of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; his step father, Stanley Ferguson; and a brother in infancy.
   Tony was a graduate of Centralia High School and joined the US Air Force where he served two tours of duty in Viet Nam as a Staff Sergeant. He began a railroad career with the CB&Q and later the Burlington-Northern and Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railways that spanned 42 years prior to his retirement in 2009.
   He was a life member of the Beardstown VFW Post # 1239 and enjoyed sporting events, especially NASCAR racing. He had a passion for spending time with his faithful dog, Ozzie, and a deep concern for the plight of the homeless which he tried to assist when possible.
   Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, August 16, 2013, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia with burial and military honors to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia. The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 11:30 am Friday until the time of services. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Cass County Food Pantry or Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.
