Herman Ray Hennings Jr. - 1933-2002 - Beardstown
   Herman Ray Hennings Jr., 69, of Beardstown, died Saturday morning, December 21, 2002, at Heritage Manor South in Beardstown.
   He was born Feb. 27, 1933, in Taylorville, the son of Herman and Jetty Wilson Hennings. He married Delores Jeanne Loss on Dec. 21, 1979, in Beardstown, and she survives.
   He is also survived by three sons, Walter Ray (wife, Kathy) Hennings of Springfield, David Hennings of Waggoner and John Hennings of Beardstown; one daughter, Pamela Chandler, of Springfield; one stepson Robert (wife, Darlene) Walker of Beardstown; three stepdaughters, Diana Walker and Catherine Walker both of Walla Walla, Wash., and Lynn (husband, Phil) Riveria of Draper, Utah; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, LeRoy (wife, Liz) Hennings and William Hennings both of Decatur; and two sisters Marie (husband, John) Duff of Butler and Delores Hennings of Taylorville. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters in infancy, and one sister Annabelle Kopp (surviving husband, Raymond).
   Mr. Hennings was a member of the First Christian Church in Beardstown. He retired from Precision Tank and Equipment Company in Virginia in 1997 after many years of service. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking outdoors and listening to country/western music.
   Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at the First Christian Church in Beardstown, with Mike Courson officiating. Burial will be at the Beardstown City Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown, with the family meeting friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday.

Jeanne Hennings - 1930-2003 - Beardstown
   Jeanne Hennings, 72, of Beardstown, died Thursday evening, May 15, 2003, at Heritage Manor South in Beardstown.
   She was born Nov. 8, 1930, in Seattle, Wash., the daughter of William and Winifred Loos. She married Herman Ray Hennings Dec. 21, 1979, and he preceded her in death Dec. 21, 2002.
   She is survived by two sons Robert (wife, Darlene) Walker and John Hennings, both of Beardstown; three daughters Diana Walker and Catherine Walker, both of Walla Walla, Wash., and Lynn (husband, Phil) Rivera of Draper, Utah; two stepsons Walter Ray (wife, Kathy) Hennings of Springfield and David Hennings of Wagner; one stepdaughter Pamela Chandler of Springfield; four grandchildren, Michelle Rockett, Jeremy Walker, Erik Crowe and Jason Walker; five stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step-greatgrandchildren; one brother Earl Baumberger of Granbee, Colo.; and her twin sister, Joyce Daniels of Vancouver, Wash. She was preceded in death by one brother Jack Baumberger.
   Mrs. Hennings was a member of the First Christian Church in Beardstown. She was formerly employed at the Arrow Restaurant and Main Street Tap in Beardstown.
   Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown, with burial at Beardstown City Cemetery. Family will meet friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.

Fred Allan Henry, 1940-2008, Chandlerville
   Fred Allan Henry, 68, of Chandlerville, passed away late Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at his residence in Chandlerville.
   He was born on Feb. 29, 1940, in Canton. He was the son of Ralph and Nelda Henry. He married Judith Kay Eilers on Oct. 2, 1960, at the Chandlerville Christian Church.
   He is survived by his wife Judy, of Chandlerville; five children, daughter, Dena (husband Eldon) Leinberger; daughter, Diana (husband Matt) Vaughn; daughter, Delana (husband Todd) Cloninger; son, Lonnie (wife Ann) Henry; daughter, Carrie Jo (husband Kevin) Donnan and 12 grandchildren, all of Chandlerville. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Caleb Vaughn; and a granddaughter, Trista Donnan.
   Mr. Henry's career extended from working at Purina in Beardstown for five years, to becoming a machinist at Caterpillar in East Peoria and Mossville. He retired in 2002 after working 29 years. Shortly after retirement, he started driving a school bus for A-C Central School District. He drove up until the time he learned he had cancer in the fall of 2007.
   He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve for eight years. He was also a member of the Chandlerville Christian Church. Fred was a proud member of the United Auto Workers Union for 29 years. He served on the Chandlerville and A-C Central School Boards for six years and also served on the Chandlerville Town Board for three years in the 1970's and for another year in 2007-2008.
    Fred enjoyed attending all his grandchildren's sporting events, music events, and academic ceremonies, rarely missing anything in which they were involved. He took pride in his involvement in community service. He also enjoyed watching and listening to Cardinal baseball and spending recreational time with his family.
   Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. with services scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Lintner/Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville. Burial will be at the Chandlerville Cemetery. Memorials have been suggested to the Chandlerville Cemetery Fund or the Cass-Schuyler Hospice. Expressions of sympathy and concern may be sent to the family online at www.hurleyfh.com. James Robert Henry, 1955-2007, Chandlerville
   James Robert Henry, 51, of Chandlerville, died Saturday evening, June 9, 2007, at his residence.
   He was born Nov. 14, 1955, in Jacksonville, the son of Ernest R. and Hattie E. Barrett Henry. He married Sheryle Lynn Pherigo on Sept. 30, 1977. He later married Patricia Sherwin on Dec. 14, 1992, and she survives.
   He is also survived by one daughter, Yvonne Sue Henry (companion, Brock Allen) of Mechanicsburg; two granddaughters, Ava Von Jett Allen and Brooklan Maree Allen; and three sisters, Nancy L. (husband, Robert) Wessel of Pittsfield, Ellen M. (husband, John) Standish of Petersburg and Verna (husband, Rick) Stone of Chandlerville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Justin Ernest.
   Mr. Henry was a 1994 graduate of Chandlerville High School. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad, Larry Nesch Construction and Nick Hamilton. As the youngest in a family of girls, he learned to cook and could often be found preparing breakfast at Verna's Home Cookin'. He loved to duck hunt and fish. In the spring he would rove through the timber in search of sassafras and morel mushrooms. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed watching car races while he cooked on the grill. He attended the Chandlerville Christian Church.
   Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville. Cremation rites will follow the services. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family. Condolences may be left at www.hurleyfh.com."

Nelda Lucille Henry - 1920-2006, Chandlerville
   Nelda Lucille Henry, 86, of Chandlerville, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at the Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
   She was born March 20, 1920, in Chandlerville, the daughter of Fred and Nellie Fielden Kirchner. She married Ralph Henry on July 30, 1938, in Bowling Green, Mo., and he preceded her in death June 12, 1993.
   She is survived by one son, Fred, (wife, Judy) of Chandlerville; five grandchildren, Dena (husband, Eldon) Leinberger, Diana (husband, Matt) Vaughn, Delana (husband, Todd) Cloninger and Lonnie (wife, Ann) Henry, all of Chandlerville, and Carrie Jo (husband, Kevin) Donnan of Ashland; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Muriel Reddish of Virginia; two brothers, Richard and Paul Kirchner, both of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one great-grandson.
   Mrs. Henry worked as a receptionist at Dr. Gordon Stephens' office in Beardstown for many years and clerked at Volmer's Grocery in Chandlerville before retiring. She was a member of the Chandlerville Christian Church, the Chandlerville Order of Eastern Star, HCE, Birthday Club, Dorcus and Women's Club. Her hobbies were embroidering and watching all sports, and she was an avid Cardinal fan. She also enjoyed keeping records for Chandlerville Alumni Association.
   Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville, with burial at Chandlerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
