Mrs. Frank Long's Mother Succumbs
   Mrs. Zelia Capper, 83, mother of Mrs. Frank Long, of this city, died Tuesday at her home in Chandlerville.
   Besides Mrs. Long, Mrs. Capper is survived by two sons, Lee Capper of Chicago and Robert Capper of Peoria.
   Funeral services were held at two o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Lintner Funeral home in Chandlerville. Rev. L. R. Cronkhite of this city officiated.

Maurine H. Carl, 86, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009 at Passavant Area Hospital.
   She was born July 7, 1923 in Cooperstown, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Gladys Avery Logsdon. She married John Carl, Jr. on Jan. 30, 1946 in Jacksonville and he preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1987.
   She is survived by two sons, John (Donna) Carl, III of White Hall and Brian (Betty) Carl of Milton; one daughter, Deborah Hymes of Jacksonville; five grandchildren, Chantay (Kyle) Betts of Edwardsville, John (Caryn) Carl, IV of Havlock, NC, and currently serving in Afghanistan, Kerry (Eric) Keith of Edwardsville, Michael Carl of Milton and Michelle (Jason) Waters of Palmyra; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Geraldine Ryan of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Shawn Carl in infancy; and one sister, Josephine Demeree.
   Mrs. Carl was a 1941 graduate of Beardstown High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting and taking trips with the Farmer's Bank bus tours.
   Following cremation, graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009 at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, south of Jacksonville. There will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Salvation Army or The Old Rectory. Condolences may be left at www.buchanancody.com. Mrs. Alma Carls, 93, dies; services Thurs.
   Mrs. Alma Carls, 93, of R.R. 1, 93, Beardstown, died at Beardstown Hospital at 9:25 a.m. today.
   She was born Nov. 21, 1887 near Meredosia in Morgan County, the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth Strubbe Davidsmeier. She was married to Herman H. Carls on April 24, 1907 at the Davidsmeier residence near Bluff Springs. Mr. Carls died Feb. 14, 1975. Mrs. Carls was also preceded in death by one son; one daughter, her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
   She was baptized and confirmed into St. John's Lutheran Church, where she held a lifetime membership. She also was a member of St. John's Ladies Aid and Mission Society.
   She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Edna) Crumrin of Rt. 1, Virginia; one grandson Don Piper of Rt. 1, Beardstown; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Sweatman and Mrs. Hilda Dour, both of Virginia, one brother, William Davidsmeier of Springfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held at Cline Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Lakamp of St. John's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
   There will be no formal visitation with the family, however friends may call at Cline Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
   The family has requested that friends wishing to give may contribute to St. John's Lutheran Sunday Radio Broadcast.

   Beardstown - Arthur Carls, 84, of Bluff Springs, died Monday at 1:10 p.m. at Schmitt Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for over a month.
   He was born on March 26, 1882 in Bluff Springs a son of John and Mary Blohm Carls. Surviving is his wife Hilda Hegener Carls, whom he married in 1960.
   Also surviving are a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Douglas of Ashland, a brother, Lew Carls of Ashland, 2 grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his former wife, Velma Wright Carls who died on July 20, 1959 and five brothers.
   He was a life long member of the Methodist church and lived most of his life in Ashland.
   Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Bluff Springs Methodist church with the Rev. W. S. Bailey officiating. Burial will be in the Ashland Cemetery.
   Friends may call at the Northcutt Funeral Home on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

   Arthur R, Carls, 85, 1912 Jackson Street, Beardstown died 3:55 PM Thursday January 27, 1994 at Culbertson Hospital in Rushville.
   He was born June 12, 1908 in Springfield, the son of Julius and Eva Hackman Carls. He married Myrtle Hendricker at the Henry Hendricker residence on February 24, 1934.
   He is survived by his wife, Myrtle of Beardstown: two sons, David (Althea) Carls of Arenzville, and Glen Carls of Phoenix, Arizona: two daughters Mrs. Joe (Esther) Dodgen of Carolton, Missouri and Mrs. John ( Ruth) Werries of Chapin: seven Grandchildren and eleven Great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Bill and Jim and one sister Mary.
   He was a member of the Bethel Church of the Nazarene of Arenzville. He was a farmer in the Arenzville and Bluff Springs area most of his life. He enjoyed raising Angus Cattle and playing chess. He served on various boards and committees in the community for several years.
   Funeral services were held at the Bethel Church of the Nazarene at 2:00pm Sunday January 30. Burial was in the Beardstown City Cemetery.
   Memorials may be made to the Bethel Church of the Nazarene of Arenzville. Cline Funeral in Beardstown was in charge of the arrangements.

Fred R. Carls, 78, of Beardstown dies; services Wednesday
   BEARDSTOWN - Fred R. Carls, 78, of Beardstown, died at Beardstown Hospital 7:55 p.m. Saturday. He was a retired farmer.
   He was born near Bluff Springs March 14, 1903, a son of Gus A. and Ida Brockschmidt Carls. He married Lorna Korsmeyer Dec. 23, 1925, at Arenzville, and she died Nov. 16, 1980.
   Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George (Doris) Ring of Des Moines, Iowa; Mrs. Lorenz (June) Kleinschmidt of rural Beardstown and Mrs. Ray (Roberta) Staake of rural Arenzville; a son, Roland Carls of Arenzville; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Edward of Arenzville, Norman of Beardstown, H. Gus of Virginia and Oscar of Springfield; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Lydia) Witte of Arenzville; numerous nieces and nephews.
   Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Beardstown with burial in the church cemetery.
   Friends may call at the Cline Funeral Home in Beardstown Tuesday afternoon and evening with family meeting friends from 7-9 p.m.
   Memorials are directed to the St John's Lutheran Sunday Radio Broadcast.
Funeral Services
Funeral services for Fred R. Carls were held Wednesday afternoon at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Bruce Lakamp of the church officiating. Helen Carls was organist and played the hymns "What A Friend We Have in Jesus" and "Abide With Me."
   Casket bearers were James Kleinschmidt, Jon Carls, Michael Ring, Mark Ring, Roger Staake, Rick Schroll, Tom Devlin, and Jim Lovekamp, grandsons.
   Flower girls were Joni Carls, Jan Schroll, Jo Kleinschmidt, Sandy Staake, Pat Devlin, Rhoda Kraig, Karen Lovekamp and Rachael Schwalbe.
   Burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery. Cline Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Henrietta J. Carls October 10, 1905 - August 14, 1997
   Henrietta J. Carls, 90, rural Arenzville, died Thursday afternoon, August 14, at Heritage Manor South in Beardstown.
   She was born October 10, 1906 in rural Arenzville, the daughter of Felix and Ida Hendricker Krohe. She married William Carls September 16, 1928 at the Bethel Church of the Nazarene in rural Arenzville. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1993.
   Surviving are three sons, William T. Carls (wife Sharon) of Phoenix, Arizona, Ronald Lee Carls (wife Sandra) of rural Arenzville and Kenneth R. Carls of Champaign; five daughters, Mrs. Fred (Alice) Ore of White Heath, Mrs. Merle (Kathryn) Lovekamp of Arenzville, Mrs. Wayne (JoAnne) Jacobsen of Barrington, Mary Brannan and Mrs. James (Patty) Wydell, both of Beardstown; 20 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer Krohe of Springfield and Oliver Krohe of Beardstown; and two sisters, Marie Root of Rushville and Dorothy Williams of Yukon, Oklahoma.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister in infancy, three brothers, Phillip, Arthur, and Paul, one son, James, and one granddaughter, Lauri Vincent.
   She attended Krohe School near Arenzville. She was a lifetime member of Bethel Church of the Nazarene and the Friendly Circle in rural Arenzville. She was a homemaker and partner with her husband, Bill, as they farmed in rural Arenzville. She was best known for her ''homecooked" meals she served for all the many farm hands. Mrs. Carls also made several quilts including quilts for each of her children and her grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held Monday morning, August 18, at Bethel Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Neal Kellam, the Rev. Cecil Carroll and the Rev. Bob Williams officiated.
   Organist Trish Sager played selected hymns. Vocalists Robin Braun and Nathan Carls sang "Sweet, Sweet Spirit" and "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow". They were accompanied by Sandra Carls.
   Pallbearers were Bruce Lovekamp, Christopher Wydell, Theodore Hea, Nathan Carls, Robert Ore and Joseph Hea.
   Burial was in the Beardstown City Cemetery.
   Services were conducted by Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown.

   James B. Carls, 48. of rural Arenzville, died Sunday, March 18 in Beardstown Hospital, Beardstown.
   He was born on October 14, 1935 in Be.ardstown, a son of William T, and Henrietta Krohe Carls an is survived by both parents.
   He is also survived by five sisters: Mrs. Alice Ore, Champaign; Mrs. Katherine Lovekarnp, Arenzville; Mrs. Joanne Jacobson, Barrington and Mrs. Mary Hea and Mrs. Patty Wydell, both of Beardstown. Also three brothers: William T. Carls, Jr., Phoenix, Arizona; Ronald L. Carls, Beardstown; Kenneth R. Carls, Urbana; and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
   He was affiliated with the Bethel, Nazarene Church, south of Bluff Springs. Funeral services were March 20 at Bethel Nazarene Church, with burial in Beardstown City Cemetery.
   Memorials are suggested to the Bethel Nazarene Church Bullding Fund or the Elk's Crippled Children's Memorial Fund.

An Esteemed Citizen Dead
   John F. Carls Died at Bluff Springs Early Sunday Morning March 13, 1910.
   John F. Carls died at his late home at Bluff Springs at a little past 12 o'clock Sunday morning, aged about 71 years.
   Deceased was for many years a resident of the Bluff Springs neighborhood.
   John F. Carls was joined in marriage to Miss Mary Blohm in the early 70's. Soon after their marriage they made their home near Bluff Springs and they resided in that neighborhood continuously from that date until each of them reached the end of life's journey. The wife and mother preceded the husband and father to the tomb. She died more than one year ago.
   John F. Carls was one of Cass county's respected and esteemed citizens, a man of upright, useful, and noble life and character.
   There are left to mourn his death seven sons, the youngest of whom is now in his thirteenth year of age. There are also a number of other near relatives and many friends to mourn his death.
   The funeral will take place at 10 o'clock this Tuesday morning, from the Methodist church at Bluff Springs, and will be conducted by Rev. T. K. Holliday. Interment in City cemetery near Beardstown.

Norman G.W. Carls December 8, 1912 - June 9, 1997
   Norman G.W. Carls, 84, Beardstown, died at 4:25 a.m. Monday, June 9, in Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
   He was born December 8, 1912, in Bluff Springs Township of Cass County, the son of Gustave A. and Ida Brockschmidt Carls. He married Helen M. Knippenberg on September 3, 1934 in Beardstown. She preceded him in death on October 31, 1993. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.
   He was a retired lifelong Cass County farmer. He attended St. John's Lutheran School in Beardstown and was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Beardstown.
   Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth "Shirley" Lux and Mrs. Jerry "Muriel" Paul both of Beardstown; one brother, Oscar Carls of Athens; four grandchildren, Lisa Langdon, Kevin Lux, Jeff Lux and Jamie Paul, all of Beardstown; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at the Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown with the Rev. Richard Bremer officiating.
   Burial will be in the Beardstown City Cemetery.
   There will be no formal visitation, but friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call from 8:00 a.m. until time of services on Thursday.
   Memorials are suggested to the St. John's Lutheran Church in Beardstown.
    Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown is in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services for Norman Carls were held Thursday morning, June 12, at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown, with the Rev. Richard Bremer of St. John's Lutheran Church officiating.
   Organist Trish Sager played selected hymns including, ''1 Know That My Redeemer Lives", "The Lord Is My Shepherd," and "I'm But a "Stranger Here.
   Pallbearers were Kevin Lux, Jeff Lux, Jim Langdon, Ben Langdon, Dale Brockschmidt, and Stan Hoffman.
   Burial was in the Beardstown City Cemetery.

Oscar C. W. Carls 1916 - 1997
   ATHENS - Oscar C.W Carls, 81, of Athens, died Monday evening, Nov. 3, 1997, at St. John's Hospice in Springfield.
   He was born May 19, 1916, near Beardstown, the son of Gus and Ida Brocksmith Carls.
   He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one son, Stan of Athens; four grand-children; and two great-grandchildren.
   Mr. Carls was a precinct committeeman in Sangamon and Menard counties for 27 years. He was retired from Local Labor Union No. 477. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman.
   Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Mott & Henning Funeral Home in Athens with burial at Indian Point Cemetery near Athens. Memorials are suggested to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Sherman.

    Ronald Lee "Bud" Carls, 64, of Beardstown, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, as a result of an accidental head injury.
   He was born Nov. 27, 1939, in rural Arenzville, the son of William T. and Henrietta J. Carls.
   He is survived by his wife, Sandra of Beardstown; two daughters, Tari (husband, Bill) Reeves and Robin (husband, Marty) Braun, both of Monett, Mo.; one son Nathan (wife, Carrie) of Beardstown; seven grandchildren, Reese, Reagan, Ian, Peyton, Ronni, Parker and Miranda; two brothers, Bill (wife, Sharon) of Phoenix and Kenny of Saugatuck, Mich.; five sisters, Alice (husband, Fred) Ore of White Heath, Kate (husband, Merle) Lovekamp of Arenzville, Jo (husband, Wayne) Jacobsen of Barrington and Mary Brannan and Patty (husband, Jim) Wydell, both of Beardstown; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lauri (surviving husband, Bob Vincent of Marshfield, Mo.); and one brother, Jim.
   Mr. Carls spent most of his working life as a farmer, with recent years seeing him enjoying various pursuits including theater and singing, crane operator's assistant, antenna fabricator and cabinetmaker's apprentice.
   A Service of Celebration will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Community of Christ Church in Beardstown. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown. Memorials are suggested to the ALS Association, ALD Association, Gift of Hope and Community of Christ Church in Beardstown.

Ina Mae Carlock 1928-2006, Chandlerville
   Ina Mae Carlock, 78, of Chandlerville, died Thursday morning, Sept. 28, 2006, at Sunny Acres Home in Petersburg.
   She was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Chandlerville, the daughter of Clarence and Martha McConnell Marcy. She married Jack M. Carlock on May 15, 1948, in Virginia, and he preceded her in death Sept. 18, 2004.
   She is survived by three daughters, Brenda of Jacksonville, Karen Boeker of Lake St. Louis, Mo., Shirley (husband, Paul) Abbott of Pryor, Okla.; four grandchildren, Kristen Boeker of San Antonio, Texas, Brandon Boeker of Lake St. Louis, Mo., Nathan Abbott of Clarksville, Ark., and Rachel Abbott of Springfield, Mo.; one great-grandson; one sister, Mary (husband, John) Chipman of Virginia; one brother, Jack (wife, Jo) Marcy of Goodyear, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Addison "Jocko" Marcy; and one sister Imo Gene "Flip" Dearing.
   Mrs. Carlock was a member of Chandlerville Christian Church, where she was active in Sunday school. She was also a member of the Chandlerville Woman's Club and American Legion Post 694 Auxiliary in Chandlerville. She enjoyed flowers and having coffee time with her friends.
   Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Chandlerville Christian Church, with burial in Chandlerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Lintner-Hurley Funeral Home in Chandlerville. Patricia L. Carnell, 1955-2007, Beardstown
   Patricia L. Carnell, 52, of Beardstown, died Wednesday morning, May 9, 2007, at Heritage manor East in Beardstown.
She was born March 13, 1955, in Leachville, Ark., the daughter of Elbert James Carnell and Lucy Alice Thomas.
She is survived by her companion, Carl Bayles of Beardstown; two daughters, Traci (husband, Richard) Pitchford of Springfield and Timi Underwood of Wood River; one son, Tyler Underwood of Wood River; five grandchildren; three brothers, William Carnell (companion, Dona Harris) of Alton, Robert (wife, Denise) Carnell of Roxana and Ronald (wife, Carolyn) Carnell of Hartford; six nieces and nephews; one aunt and two uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Tallmadge W. Carnell.
    Ms. Carnell was a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Veterans Administration in Tampa, Fla., for many years. She was an avid reader, a movie buff, a music lover and an outstanding cook.
   Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown, with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery in Beardstown. The family will meet with friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to [email protected]

   Charles C. B. Carpenter, 75, of Virginia, IL died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, IL.
   He was born July 31, 1936 in Cass County; the son of Cecil and Alma Mason Carpenter. He married Glenna J. Buhl on September 10, 1955 and she survives in Springfield.
   He is also survived by two sons, Chuck Carpenter (wife, Debbie) of rural Virginia and John Carpenter of Springfield; two daughters, Cindy Baughman of Canton and Beth Jones (husband, Michael) of Curran; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren.
   Mr. Carpenter worked as a truck driver, welder, and mechanic for both Tom Roberts Trucking and Precision Tank and Equipment. In addition, he formerly served as a police officer for Chandlerville and operated Carp's Pool Hall in Virginia.
   Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia with burial at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia.     Glenna J. Carpenter, 78, of Springfield, IL and formerly of Virginia, IL died Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
   She was born January 16, 1938 in Sweetwater, IL, the daughter of Theresa Buhl. She married Charles C.B. Carpenter on September 10, 1955 and he preceded her in death on November 16, 2011.
   She is survived by two sons, Chuck Carpenter (wife, Debbie) of Virginia and John Carpenter (companion, Debbie Pellegrini) of Springfield; two daughters, Cindy Baughman of Canton and Beth Jones of Curran; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Otken (wife, Katja) of Springfield and Robert Otken (wife, Betty) of Jacksonville; a niece; and three nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her mother and her step-father, Walter Otken, who raised her from childhood, and two grandchildren
   Glenna was a graduate of Ashland High School and served as a CNA for Passavant Hospital and Walker Nursing Home. She was later employed 35 years with the Illinois Secretary of State’s office. Her favorite pastimes were playing Bingo, gardening, and hooking rugs.
   Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, February 17, 2016, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia with burial at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia. The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am Wednesday until the time of services. Memorial gifts are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.    He was born December 24, 1930 in Virginia, IL; the son of John and Wilma Taylor Carson. He married Romona Johnson on January 14, 1950 in Virginia and she survives.
   He is also survived by two sons, John Carson of Jacksonville and Mike Carson (partner, Susan Young) of Virginia; three grandchildren, Jared Carson of Philadelphia, Jessica Carson of Virginia, and Cody Carson of Lakenheath, England; five great grandchildren, Jacob Carson, Emily Carson, Lily Carson, Sam Cox and Jack Cox. He was preceded in death by his parents and by Mary and Tom Hare in whose home he was raised.
   Mr. Carson served with the US Navy and Naval Reserves and enjoyed a long career as a meatcutter. He was first employed with Birnbaum's Packing Plant and later with Birnbaum's Grocery Store. He served several years as a meatcutter and manager of the Virginia Locker Plant prior to working with several area grocery stores. He joined Oscar Meyer in Beardstown when they opened their meat processing plant in 1967, serving as a supervisor until his retirement in 1987 upon the plant's sale to Cargill.
   Jack maintained a variety of interests including hunting rabbits and deer, playing golf, and vacationing at Myrtle Beach, SC. He enjoyed spending time with his family as his sons trained and fought matches across the country with the Golden Gloves Boxing program. An avid motorcyclist, he also enjoyed extended family trips aboard their motorcycles. His favorite companion and sidekick was Samantha, his golden retriever, who owned her own car which Jack was allowed to drive.
   Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside memorial services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to the American Cancer Society. The Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home and Crematory of Virginia is in charge of the arrangements. Dean R. Cary, 82, of rural Virginia, IL died Saturday, May 6, 2017, at his home.
   He was born December 4, 1934 in Burkesville, KY, the son of Medford “Med” and Edna Vibbert Cary. He married Florence Cox on October 10, 1953 at the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian parsonage in rural Virginia and she survives.
   He is also survived by two sons, Roger Cary of Beardstown and Tim Cary (wife, Debbie) of Virginia; a daughter, Diann Morgan of Virden; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Legora Brunk (husband, John) of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Cary.
   Dean was a life-long farmer including 37 years of employment with Brockhouse Farms in Cass County. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting squirrels, mushrooms, and ginseng.
    At his request, cremation will be accorded. Graveside memorial services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, May 12, 2017, at Garner Chapel Cemetery, north of Philadelphia. Debra S. 'Debby' Cave, 1960-2008, Virginia
   Debra S. "Debby" Cave, 47, of Virginia, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at St. John's Hospice in Springfield.
   She was born Dec. 9, 1960, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Jack W. and Phyllis Jean Cooper Scupham.
   She is survived by her mother of Philadelphia, Ill.; fiance' Jim Lockman of Virginia; one son, Jason (wife, Brenda) Scupham of Pleasant Plains; and one aunt. She was preceded in death by her father.
   Ms. Cave was a Consumer Safety Inspector with the USDA. She was a 1979 graduate of Virginia High School. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her family and friends.
   Graveside services will be held noon Friday at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Virginia. Visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m. Friday at Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Virginia. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be left at www.buchanancody.com.
