ANN MARY McHENRY, farmer; P, O., Virginia; was born in Westmoreland County, Pa., April 8, 1834; daughter of James and Nancy (Clark) McHenry; he was born in Washington County, Pa., July 12, 1801, and she in Ohio County, Va., Jan. 23, 1806; he was a farmer by occupation, and died in Monroe Precinct, Feb. 14, 1867; she died Jan. 1, 1866; they were the parents of six children, five of whom grew to maturity, our subject, Miss Ann Mary, being the eldest. She received a very good education, and taught in the Springer School, when she was twenty-three years of age.
