1929: St. Valentine's Day Massacre

Seven gangster rivals of Al Capone were murdered in Chicago today when Capone gang member Jack “Machine Gun” McGurn ordered the killing of rival George “Bugs” Moran. "The wholesale killing, the most sensational in the long and bloody history of Chicago's gangland warfare, was carried out with precision," reported The Evening Tribune on February 14, 1929. "Five executioners wearing stars and posing as police officers, who invaded a garage where Moran's gang was in conference, herded their helpless and unarmed victims to the rear and mercilessly executed them with sawed-off shotguns and machine guns, every body bearing from six to ten bullets."

My name is Foxie Hagerty and I will be hosting this site Our current host is on a leave absence and until she returns I will maintain this site to best of my abilities. ONE THING I WANT TO MAKE PERFECTLY CLEAR--I AM NOT DOING FAMILY RESEARCH OF ANY KIND TO ANYONE. I JUST DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH HOURS LEFT IN THE DAY FOR IT. IF MY NAME IS ON ANOTHER PLACE I DO NOT HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THAT BUT I CAN NOT DO MUCH MORE THAN WHAT I'M DOING NOW I'M SORRY TO SAY. PLEASE DO NOT ASK OR SEND ME AN EMAIL ASKING FOR FAMILY RESEARCH I CAN NOT HONOR IT!! THANKS
