CALDWELL - Services for Walter E.
Evans, 77, Notus, who died Wednesday in Homedale, will be held
at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel. The
Rev. Gail Davis will officiate and interment will follow at
the Wilder Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 26, 1890, in Avon, Idaho. He came to the
Boise Valley in 1919 and farmed until 1958 when he retired and
moved to Notus. He married Maude Powell on March 10,
1926 at Caldwell. He was a veteran of World War I.
A son, Marvin E. Evans, preceded him in death in 1930.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Arlene Schneider of
Boise and Miss Donna Evans at home; two brothers, Thomas Evans
of Caldwell and Chester Evans of Loki, Calif.; a sister, Mrs.
Mae McHugh of Caldwell; and four grandchildren. |
