Note - Not sure where the newspaper obtained the
place of birth mentioned below for Stephen but all
research shows he was born in Salt Lick Twp.,
Perry County, Ohio.
Another short article mentions a daughter, Mrs. Jason
Hallock of Caldwell, and a son, Charles Lanning
of Arock, Oregon.

Lanning Funeral
Set for Sunday

Final rites for Stephen Lanning,
97, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the
Adventist church in Caldwell with the Rev. W. S. Boynton
officiating. Burial will be in the Canyon Hill cemetery.
Lanning died Wednesday at his home here. He was born
September 3, 1837 in Stratesville. Ohio. |
