Olaf Carlson

     Services for Olaf Carlson, 80, of Parma who died Saturday at his home, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel in Parma.  The Rev. John Briehl of Nyssa will officiate.  Interment will be in the Roswell cemetery.
     Friends may call at the Chapel in Parma tonight and until the hour of service on Tuesday.
     Mr. Carlson was born April 30, 1879, in Sweden and came to the United States in 1906 and settled at Joseph, Ore., where he was a carpenter and farmer.
     He married Emma Roup on Feb. 6, 1919 at Joseph.
     They moved to Roswell in 1921 where he farmed until his retirement in 1949 and then moved into Parma.
     He was a veteran of World War (I), a member of the Lutheran Church and the AF&AM Lodge at Joseph, Ore.
     Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Carlson, Parma;  a son, Dorris Carlson, Portland, Ore.;  four grandchildren;  a sister in Sweden.
     A son, Lorris (Swede) Carlson, died April 22 of this year in an automobile accident near Burns, Ore.
