CALDWELL - Niels J. Bonde, 81, of 2114 Oak, Caldwell, died Saturday morning at a Nampa nursing home.
He was born Sept. 15, 1886, at Slisrig, Denmark, and came to the United States when he was 13 years old. Me married Martha Sieber Aug. 1, 1904, at Heber, Mo. They came to Idaho in 1918 where he was engaged in farming until retiring in 1948 at which time he moved into Caldwell where he had since resided.
Survivors include his wife, Martha, Caldwell; four sons, Roy, Boise, Irvin and Glen, both of Cutbank, Mont., and Gordon Bonde, Ontario Ore.; six daughters, Mrs. Ethel Christopherson, Cutbank, Mrs. Easter Torrey, American Fork, Utah, Mrs. Iva Sackett, Star, Mrs. Mabel Fetters, Middleton, and Mrs. Wilda Baum and Mrs. Letha Tiller, both of Nampa; 27 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Elvin and Ronald, and a daughter Mrs. Opal Williams of Nampa.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Dakan Chapel with the Rev. A. T. Bidwell of the Seventh-day Adventist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Canyon Hill. |
