Mildred Brown

     Graveside funeral services for Mildred M. Brown, 82, of Los Gatos, formerly of Wilder, who died Thursday in a Los Gatos retirement home, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Wilder Cemetery by the Rev. Payl F. Evans of Kirkpatrick Memorial Community Church, Parma, under the direction of Dakan funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
     She was born Jan. 17, 1900, in Coffeyville, Kan.  She married Scott Brown on Dec. 25, 1920, at the C.B. Banks home in the community near Wilder.  They farmed near Wilder until 1944 and then moved to Marysville, Wash.  They lived in Marysville for several years before moving to Santa Cruz, Calif.  She had resided in Los Gatos since 1981.  She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
     She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Pressnall of Ione, Calif., and Martha Varner of Livermore, Calif.; two sons, Leonard Brown of Pasco, Wash., and Maurice Brown of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, the Rev. Stanley Banks of Parma and Charles C. Banks of Caldwell; a sister, Olive M. Mitchell of Nampa; and four grandchildren.
