Services for Mark W. Cawdery, 84, of Caldwell, formerly of
Wilder, who died Thursday, Oct. 24, in the Caldwell hospital
of natural causes, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the
Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, with Pastor Dick Shaw of the
First Baptist Church, Caldwell, officiating. Burial will
follow in the Wilder Cemetery.
Mr. Cawdery, a retired farmer, was born Aug. 19, 1901
at Fairbury, Neb., a son of Alfred and Loretta Brody Cawdery.
He was raised in Nebraska until he was 14, at which time he
moved with his family to Wilder.
He married Edna Alley on Aug. 18, 1924, at Boise.
They lived in Glenns Ferry for two years and then moved to
Wilder in 1926 where he farmed until retiring in 1980.
They moved to Caldwell in November, 1984. He was a
member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and attended the First Baptist
Church of Caldwell.
He is survived by his wife of Caldwell; a son, Carl
Cawdery of Pocatello; two daughters, Joyce Elfering of Vale,
Ore., and Patrice Cate of Caldwell; 10 grandchildren; and
seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dale, and two
brothers, Joe and Fred.

Church in care of Dakan Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 1386,
