     Mrs. Minerva Van Winkle, 62, pioneer resident of this section, was laid at rest Thursday afternoon in the Notus cemetery.  Funeral services were held at the Notus church with Dr. W. J. Boone of the College of Idaho officiating.
     Mrs. Van Winkle passes away at her home near Notus.
     She was born in Missouri in 1869 and at the age of six years, she crossed the plains with her parents and settled in the Boise valley and has resided in this valley since.  In (1887) she married John S. Bothwell, who died in 1893.  George Van Winkle and she were married September 14, 1899. 
     Surviving are her husband, George Van Winkle; three sons, Lester Bothwell of Notus, Lloyd Van Winkle of Notus, and Fred Van Winkle of Pleasant Ridge and two daughters, Mrs. Vera Folwell of Kuna, and Mrs. Golda McDowell of Pleasant Ridge.
