Mrs. S. S. Hicks
Dies Yesterday
At Middleton


     Mrs. Lillian Blanche Hicks passed away at her home in Middleton on March 19.  She was born at Coffeeville, Kas., on Dec. 2, 1874, and was married at Independence, Mo., in 1897 to Steven S. Hicks, who survives her.  The couple moved to Idaho in 1917, and since that time have lived in Caldwell, Parma and Middleton.  Mrs. Hicks was a member of the Methodist church at Middleton and of the Ladies Aid society.
     Services are to be held Tuesday, March 23, at the Methodist church at Middleton, and interment will be at the Middleton cemetery.
     Those surviving her, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Harris of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Esther Dolfin of San Bernardino, Calif.; a son, Master Sgt. Elwood Hicks of Ft. Bowie, Tex.; a sister, Kitty Parson of Boise; two brothers from Missouri and California; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
