Leslie A. Carpenter

     Graveside services for Leslie A. Carpenter, 80, Homedale, who died Wednesday in a LaGrande, Ore., hospital, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Wilder Cemetery by the Rev. Ralph Cornwell of Boise under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.  Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
     He was born
June 28, 1902 at Driftwood, Okla. Where he was reared and educated.  He married Lucy Wells on Sept. 5, 1926 at Minnola, Kansas and the couple made their home in Oklahoma until 1935, when they moved to Caldwell.
     A few years later they moved to Homedale and then to a farm in the
Fargo area.  He retired in 1972 and they moved back into Homedale.
     Mrs. Carpenter died
Oct. 30, 1982.
     He was a member of the Silver City Masonic Lodge No. 13 A.S.A.M. Homedale.
     He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leslie Warner, Homedale and Mrs. Edith Thambert of Elgin, Ore,; five brothers, Harold and Randall, both of the Fargo community, Clifford of Portland, Ore., Harry of American Falls and Rex of Vail, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by a son, Walter, a daughter, Margie Pendleton, a brother and a sister.

     Friends may call at the Flahiff Chapel, Homedale today from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.  Memorials may be given to the Idaho Youth Ranch, Rupert, or to the Idaho Lung Association.
