     James S. King died Wednesday morning at the Odd Fellows' home here.  King was a miner by occupation and was among the early settlers in the Idaho city country in the gold rush days.  He came here from Idaho City several years ago.
     Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the I. O. O. F. temple with Dr. H. H. Hayman in charge.  Interment will be in the Canyon Hill cemetery.
     King was born in Denton county, Texas, August 1, 1868.  He was a member of Adams lodge No. 74, Adams, Ore.  The body is at the Case funeral chapel.
