     James Bruner, Canyon county resident, died at his home near Caldwell in the Black Canyon community, Saturday morning, following a long illness.  Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon from the I. O. O. F. temple with Dr. H. H. Hayman officiating and members of the Odd Fellows' lodge in charge.
     The deceased was born in California on October 13, 62 years ago.  He came to Idaho and homesteaded in the Fargo community in 1908 and later staked an acreage in the Black Canyon district where he lived until the time of his death.
     Mr. Bruner is survived by his widow, Mrs. Vera Bruner and one son, Billy;  three step-children;  Genevieve and Gene Hull and George Rombo;  four sisters, Mrs. Amanda Esmond of Berkley, Cal., Mrs. Queen Smith also of Berkley, Mrs. Ada Laymance of Waterville, Wash., and Mrs. Hattie Surryhne of Oakland, Cal. and two brothers, Grant and William Bruner, both of Berkeley.
