John C. Besecker

     Services for John C. Besecker, 85, of Notus, who died Thursday at a local hospital, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel in Caldwell.  The Rev. N. H. Lines of the Middleton Methodist Church will officiate.  Interment will be in the Roswell Cemetery.
    Mr. Besecker was born Sept. 13, 1873, in Hinsdale, N. Y. and was a retired farmer.
     He was reared in New York state and Married Harriet M. Thomas on Sept. 15, 18897, in East Aurora, N. Y., and they moved to Roswell, Idaho, where she preceded him in death on July 20, 1930.
     He married Mrs. Bertha Reavis on Oct. 25, 1935, in Caldwell and she preceded him in death in 1953.
     Mr. Besecker was a member of the Methodist Church.
     His survivors include a daughter, Mrs. C. W. Dean, of Notus, with whom he had made his home;  three sons, Mar. Clifford Besecker of Seattle, Wash., and Thomas J. and John Besecker, both in California;   a brother, R. W. Besecker of McCall, Idaho.  three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Darkwood, McCall, Mrs. Cora Magner, Boise, and Mrs. Mae Bayless of Altadena, Calif.;  11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren;  a step-daughter, Mrs. Velda Sweet of Oswego, Ore., and three step-grandchildren, including Mrs. Jean Dorsey of Caldwell.
