Aged Citizen Passes Away at Home of Son on Sunday, February 23

Funeral services for
Henry Milton Day, 78, were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday
afternoon from the Methodist church of Wilder with the Rev. H.
H. Hayman officiating. Interment was made in the Roswell
cemetery.
Mr. Day passed away Sunday at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. Charles Paine, 816 Logan street. He was born in St.
Lawrence county, New York, August 8, 1851. He lived in
Iowa and Minnesota during his youth and was married to Miss
Mila Farley June 28, 1874.
Leaving Minnesota in 1898, Mr. Day brought his family
to Roswell and his home has been in that vicinity since that
time.
Surviving the deceased are three daughters, Mrs. Charles Paine of
Caldwell, Mrs. Nellie Gould of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs.
Daisy Root of Carning, Cal.; three sons, Bert of Halfway,
Ore., and Lawrence and Charles of Boise; ten grandchildren;
four sisters, and one brother. |
