                           __________

Young Man of Promise Dies Following Prolonged Illness
__________

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church for Harold Jester, 32, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Jester, Jr.  Jester who has been ill all summer died last Thursday night.
Services were conducted by Dr. W. J. Boone, the Rev. Edwin Lawrence and the Rev. C. O. Heath.  Besides his parents, Jester is survived by his widow and two small daughters; three brothers, Theodore, instructor of mathematics in the Couer d'Alene high school; Earl Jester, College of Idaho senior and Ernest, a sophomore at the college.
Jester was born in Iowa but came to Caldwell with his parents when he was quite young and lived here continuously until his death.  He was graduated from the Caldwell high school and the College of Idaho.  Following completion of his college work, Jester accepted a position as field secretary at the college, a place he held for 10 years.  About a year ago he resigned to enter the employ of H. J. McNeel, local contractor, as draughtsman and general office manager.  He was regarded as a young man of unusual promise by Mr. McNeel having shown surprising talent in mastering difficult construction problems.
Death was due to results of an infection which baffled physicians who attended him during his long illness and which resulted in heart complications.
Burial was in Canyon Hill cemetery.
