Genevieve Armstrong

   Services for Genevieve Armstrong, 83, Nampa, who died Sunday, July 22, in her home will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, in Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
     The Rev. Walter Lee, Nampa Friends Church, and the Rev. Donald J. Brown, Star Friends Church, will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Greenleaf Cemetery.
     Mrs. Armstrong was born Feb. 5, 1901, in Newberg, Ore., to Dr. and Mrs. H.C. Dixon.  She graduated from Newberg High School in 1921.  She then moved to Nampa and graduated from Northwest Nazarene College in 1926.  She taught school in Idaho for several years.
     She married G. Lloyd Armstrong May 17, 1937, in Parma.  They farmed in the Greenleaf area until 1945 when they moved to Nampa.  She had been a member of the Nampa Friends Church since 1945 and had taught Sunday school for many years.  Her husband died Dec. 17, 1976.
     She is survived by one daughter, Florence Madden, Caldwell; two brothers, Herbert Dixon, Ashland, Ore., and Chester Dixon, Moses Lake, Wash.; two sisters, Kathyren Dixon and Sibyl Bowden both of Grants Pass, Ore.; one grandchild; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
