Final rites for Mrs. Fannie
Brown Argent, 62, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the
Methodist church with the Rev. A. B. Parrett officiating.
Interment was in the Canyon Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Argent died Thursday at the home of her sister,
Mrs. Maggie Underkofler of Caldwell, following an illness of several
months. She was born April 4, 1870, near Warren, Ill.
When a small child she moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. S.
Brown, to Hampton, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood.
She has been a resident of the Dakotas, Idaho, Oregon
and Minnesota. Eleven years ago Mrs. Argent left Caldwell and
returned to Hampton, Iowa, where she married W. T. Argent, Mr.
Argent died two and one-half years ago. Mrs. Argent has made
her home with her sister in Caldwell for the past year. She
was a life long member of the Methodist church.
Mrs. Argent is survived by three sisters, Mrs.
Underkofler, Mrs. W. C. Young of Salem Ore., and Mrs. F. E. Wolf of
Hazel, S. D. and one brother J. P. Brown of Hampton, Iowa.
