Services for Esther I. Brush, 88, 3625 Hillcrest Dr., Boise, who died Tuesday, Nov. 9, at home of natural causes, will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell by the rev. Sue Nelson Calley of the United Methodist Church, Wilder. Interment will follow at the Roswell Cemetery, Roswell. She was born March 27, 1894, in Chicago, where she was reared and educated. She came to Wilder with her family in 1911. She married Edwin B. Brush in 1916 at Wilder. They farmed in the Wilder area. Mr. Brush died Oct. 23, 1970. She moved to Boise five years ago where she had since resided. She had been one of Wilder’s outstanding supporters, working through her church, Job’s Daughters and many other activities. She was a member of the Wilder United Methodist Church, the Rebekahs, Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Josephine and Ralph Rogers of Boise; one granddaughter, Kathy Anderson of Boulder, Colo.; four grandsons, James Rogers in the U.S., Marine Corps., John Rogers in the U.S. Navy, Tom Rogers in the U.S. Marine Corps and Richard Rogers of Boise; two nieces, Evelyn Maurer of Wilder and Helen Croser of Seattle, Wash., and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one daughter, Pauline Wark. Memorials may be made to the Wilder United Methodist Church or a favorite charity. |
