Caldwell Cigar
Store Man Dies
Sunday Evening
___________
Funeral
Services to be Held
Here Tuesday for C. D.
Jarchow
___________
C. D. Jarchow, for 12 years
proprietor of a cigar store in Caldwell, died at his home Sunday
evening. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2
o'clock at the Odd Fellows' temple and burial will be in Canyon Hill
cemetery.
Mr. Jarchow suffered a paralytic stroke several months
ago but treatments taken at Hot Lake Or., were thought to have
caused him to practically recover from the effects of the stroke.
A short time ago he became ill with influenza and it was
complications from that disease that proved the immediate cause of
his death.
He came to Caldwell from Calville, Wash., where he had
spent 17 years of his life going to Washington from the east.
An accident resulting from blasting work 40 years ago in Minnesota,
caused the loss of one leg and since that time Mr. Jarchow had used
crutches.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hester Jarchow, and
one brother, Adolph Jarchow of Spokane.
