Couple Passes Fifty-Ninth Wedding Anniversary Quietly
                           __________

     Thursday, March 10, marked the 59th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. McGee and the 80th birthday anniversary of Mrs. McGee.  The couple spent the day quietly at their home here with their family and close friends.
     Mr. and Mrs. McGee were married at Ellisville, Ill., on March 10, 1879.  The ceremony was performed at the home of the bride by the Rev. J. G. Evans of the Methodist church at Ellisville.  Before her marriage, Mrs. McGee was Miss Clara Peach.
     Mr. and Mrs. McGee came to Caldwell in 1905 and have lived here continuously since that time.  They are the parents of five children, all of whom are living.  They are L. R. McGee of Portland, W. E. McGee of Kuna, Guy C. McGee of Bonners Ferry, Archie McGee of Caldwell and Mrs. Irma Collins of Bonners Ferry.  The McGees have nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
     Both Mr. and Mrs. McGee are healthier and are active than many couples half their age.  They enjoy numerous activities and their interest are wide and varied.  Mrs. McGee does all her own housework and is an enthusiastic needlewoman.  Quilting and flower raising are her hobbies.

Husband Died Only
Five Days

     Mrs. Clara Ann McGee of 1801 Arthur street, Caldwell passed away Monday afternoon at the age of 84.  She was born near Ellisville, Fulton county, Ill., March 10, 1858, the daughter of William J. and Martha A. Teach.  She was the oldest of ten children and grew to woman hood in this community and was married on her 21st birthday anniversary to William Augustus McGee, who preceded her in death by five years.
     To this union was born six children, Lewis Roy of Salem, Ore; William Elmer of Vancouver, Wash.; Guy Carl of Moscow and Charles Archie of Caldwell; Irma a Collins of Bonners Ferry and Ralph Thompson who died in infancy Dec. 3. 1882.
     The family moved to Arapahoe Neb., in March 1886, where they remained until 1905, when they came to Caldwell.
     Mrs. McGee had long been a member of the Women's Relief Corps and served at different times as President, chaplain and department chaplain for the state of Idaho.  She was a charter member of the Past President's club.  She was a member of the Rebekah lodge for 45 years and belonged to the Round Table.  She was a member of St. David's Episcopal church in Caldwell.
     Besides her children, she is survived by one brother, Charles E. Teach of San Luis Obispo, Cal.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held at the Peckham chapel Friday at 2:30 p. m.  The Rev. C. A. McKay will officiate and the Rebekah lodge and Women's Relief Corps will have a part in the service.  Burial will be in the family plot in Canyon Hill cemetery.
