Mrs. R. S. Brown
Dies At Wilder

Funeral services
will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Methodist
church at Wilder for Mrs. R. S. Brown, who died Sunday.
The Rev. G. R. Ellis will conduct the services and interment
will be in the Wilder cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died following a paralytic stroke a week ago
Monday. She has been ill for some time. Mrs. Brown
was well known in Canyon county her husband being a member of
the board of county commissioners at the present time.
She was 43 years of age.
Besides her husband Mrs. Brown is survived by four
sons, Lewis of Rupert, R. S. Jr., William and Raymond, all of
Wilder; two daughters, Margaret of Wilder and Mrs. Ruth Scott
of Rupert; four sisters and two brothers. |

WILDER - Anna
Brown, daughter of Alva E. and Rosa Brown was born at
Hastings, Neb., on May 13, 1883. When she was three
years old the family moved to Mammouth, Ill., where she spent
her girlhood and was united in marriage to Rollie S. Brown in
1902.
In 1906 Mr. and Mrs. Brown moved to Parma and in the
fall of 1907 they homesteaded at the present homesite near
Wilder.
Seven children were born to them, six of whom with
their father survive their mother's death on Sunday evening,
July 5, 1931. One daughter, Rosadelle, died in 1918.
The others are Louis N. and Mrs. Ruth Scott of Rupert; Rollie
S. Jr., William A. and Marguerite, all of Wilder, also three
grandchildren. Mrs. Brown also is survived by three
brothers and four sisters. Her sister, Mrs. James
Nonamaker and a brother, Louis Brown, both of Portland, have
just recently visited her and another sister, Mrs. Alice Dorn,
also of Portland, was with her at the time of her death.
Mrs. Brown has been a patient sufferer for more than 2
1/2 years, always hopeful and planning what she would do when
she was sell again. She was an ardent church worker
before her illness and worked hand in hand with her husband in
the rearing of their children and the upbuilding of the Wilder
community.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the
Wilder M. E. Church, the pastor, the Rev. George R. Ellis,
preaching the sermon. She was laid at rest in the Wilder
cemetery. |
