DEATH OF MATRON
        

      Funeral services were held,  Wednesday afternoon, for Mrs. Alice Paine at the Presbyterian church in Roswell with the Rev. Osler pastor, in charge, assisted by Dr. H. H. Hayman, of the College of Idaho.
   Mrs. Paine passed away Saturday evening at the Caldwell sanitarium after a week’s illness from double pneumonia.
   She, with her husband, came to Idaho 38 years ago, locating on the Guy Strong farm in Roswell, where they remained until they purchased a home near Roswell, where Mrs. Paine has since lived.
   Surviving are three children, Mrs. S. A. Patterson, of Wilder; Mrs. W. J. Hilton, of Homedale; and Mrs. J. J.
Cassell, of Midvale; 11 grandchildren,  8 great grand-children.  One son, Clifford, passed away five years ago and a daughter, Grace passed away at the age of 21 years.
   Burial was in the Roswell cemetery, beside her  husband, who passed away 12 years ago.
