Funeral for Andrew M. Mothorn, 72, Held Tuedsay Afternoon

Funeral services for
Andrew M. Mothorn, 72, who passed away Saturday afternoon,
were held Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in Canyon Hill
cemetery.
Mr. Mothorn was a citizen of Boise Valley for nearly
half a century and a volunteer scout in the early Indian wars
in southern Idaho. He was one of the state's first
pioneers, having crossed the plains in a covered wagon drawn
by ox team. Before the founding of the city of Caldwell
he freighted from Boise to western points.
He is survived by his widow and seven children, Edward
Mothorn, of Santa Barbara, Calif., Glenn and Aaron Mothorn of
Caldwell; Mrs. Fred Reed of Lucille, Idaho; Mrs. Douglas
Murphy of Boise; Mrs. Henry Peterson of New Plymouth, and Mrs.
Arlo Livingston of Portland, Ore; and one sister, Mrs. Alice
McClain of Joseph, Ore. |
