Dies In Oregon
___________
Archie McKenna Succumbs
from Heart Attack While
Swimming Near Kimberly
___________
The body of Archie McKenna,
19, was brought to Caldwell Friday by C. B. Peckham from John Day,
Or. The boy's death occurred Thursday at Kimberly, Ore;
He is the son of Mrs. Lucy McKenna of 1415 Arthur street, Caldwell.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30
o'clock at the Peckham funeral chapel. Interment will be in
the Canyon Hill cemetery.
McKenna is survived by his mother and two brothers of
Caldwell and one older brother in the United States navy.
The youth's death occurred while he was swimming.
Although the body had been underwater for an hour and a half before
it was recovered, it was believed that heart failure was the cause
of his death.
The youth was bitten by a rattlesnake six weeks ago and
has been in poor health since, it was reported.
He was born and grew to manhood in Mountain Home.
Since 1930 he has lived in Caldwell with his mother. He has
been working on a ranch near Kimberly, Ore., this summer.
