Tillie M. Vauk
 

       NAMPA – Tillie M. Vauk, 78, of 123 11th Ave. S. Ext., died Saturday at a Nampa nursing home.
     Mrs. Vauk was born Aug. 11, 1893, at Scotland, S.D., where she was reared and educated.  She was married to Emil Vauk on Feb. 12, 1912, at Tabor, S.D.  The family moved to the Nampa area in 1933 from Marion, S.D.  She was actively engaged with her husband and son in the ownership and operation of a grocery business in Nampa for 21 years.  She retired in 1953.  Mr. Vauk died Dec. 15, 1955.
    She was a member of St.  Paul’s Catholic Church and was active in the Altar Society, the Legion of Mary and the Catholic Daughters of America for many years.
    Surviving are two sons, Oscar E. Vauk, Twin Falls, and Hobert J. Vauk, Nampa; one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Marcella) Kaiser, Nampa; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
     Rosary devotions will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Henry F. McCloskey, S.M., as celebrant.  Interment will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
    Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Leonard Vauk, Charles Vauk, David Vauk, Gary Vauk, Warren Kaiser and Mark Kaiser.
     Friends may call at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa, today and until service time Tuesday.
