Note - Spelling of middle name is Clair in
the newspaper and Clare on the headstone.
Also, the WWI Draft Registration card actually
shows his name to be Solon Le Clare Mower. 
His signature on the card was the same.


 

Solon C. Mower

     Services for Solon Clair Mower, 87, of Caldwell Route 4, who died Saturday in his home, were to be conducted at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel at 2 p.m. Today. The Rev. Robert Morris of the Riverside Community Friends Church officiated. Mr. Moriah Lodge No. 39, AF&AM conducted services at Canyon Hill.
     Mr. Mower was born March 15, 1876, in Des Moines, Iowa, and married Carrie A. Holloway Sept. 13, 1906, in Des Moines.
The couple came to Caldwell in 1909 and homesteaded in the Riverside Community, where he since had resided. Mrs. Mower died July 20, 1954.
     He was a member of Mount Moriah Lodge, No. 39, AF&AM.
    Surviving are a son, Francis Mower of Pueblo, Colo., and a sister, Mrs. Clara A. Johnson, of Babea, Calif.
